So, today was my birthday. As it happens, my 13th birthday. And it was ze bestest of the bestest of birthdays, I do declare. :D
It started off with a cup of coffee. Now, before I continue, you must know something. In my family, when you turn 13, you're officially allowed to have a share in the coffee pot. Every morning :D This is one of the many benefits of being a teenager.
So, at about 8:00, my mom comes in, wakes me up, and hands me a steaming mug of coffee, with lots of sugar and cream. AHhhhh. This is the life.
The bad news is that I have to get up out of my warm, cozy bed and leave the house. The good news: we're leaving an hour early to get David to his rehearsal, so we must go out to breakfast. Good news? Definately. Bacon strips + biscuit + pancakes + hash browns = YUMMM.
Then my dad took me to the mall. Why the mall, you ask? Ah, because the church ensemble was playing Christmas carols there (I play violin, you know). I was reluctant, for so tired was I, but it was immense fun :D We handed out invitations to the production while we were there as well :-)
When that was over, we headed over to church for the Christmas play rehearsal (Dad's doing guitar.) Oh my gosh they were good. The music and the choir was great (I got goosebumps) and the play was indeed quite funny. I want to see you all there! It's going to be amazing!!!
By the way, I was so blessed by all the people who wished me a happy birthday :) Thank you for remembering, guys! It's better than I can do :P After that was over, I went home to find a balloon smiling down at me from the banister. Thanks, Amydear. :) My family had made me this huge birthday feast, with beef and noodles and broccoli and crescent rolls and root beer! Oh my! I love you guys. All of my favorite things. (Yes, I love broccoli :P)
Mommy, thank you so much for the mocha almond fudge ice cream cake. That was delicious :)
Oh yes, and then we went downstairs and watched Pirates of the Caribbean I. Haha.
And that was an abridged of my amazing birthday! Oh yes, hold on.
Except for one thing. One little thing that totally made my day.
Some of my friends put together an email for me, an email composed of 7 notes. 7 notes that encouraged me tremendously, and that made me even more grateful for the things God has given me. Wow. You girls have no idea how much that blessed me. Thank you, again and again and again. That was better than any present. :D I'm so thankful for you!
Love you all so much! <3
